Our Screening Process
Houston Nanny Co. is very thorough in the screening of all applicants. Our process is as follows:
We conduct a phone interview before they are scheduled a face to face interview.
We interview each applicant personally.
Each applicant fills out a lengthy application.
We make copies of their documents of eligibility to work in the U.S.
We make copies of their childcare certifications.
We photograph each applicant.
We check their references. Family will get a copy of their references and what the references have said to us when we called them.
We conduct a multi-state criminal court search, a statewide criminal court search, a county criminal search, and a sexual offenders search. We also check their driving records and social security verification. The background check is done when the family selects a nanny they would like to hire. Most of the time we can have the results the same day.
We give the families copies of the background reports upon hire of a permanent employee.
Drug / TB Testing for an extra fee.
